by Peter Allen

British F3 race-winner Rupert Svendsen-Cook claimed victory in race two of the MRF Challenge at the Indian Grand Prix.

Svendsen-Cook moved into the lead at the start after lining up second on the reverse grid alongside Sean Walkinshaw, who bogged down and dropped down the order.

Svendsen-Cook led comfortably until the last corner, when he managed to activate the pit lane speed limiter, cutting his winning margin over second-placed Sam Dejonghe to 1.5 seconds.

Ex-F3 Open racer Dejonghe struggled with a throttle problem but managed to hold off?Tio Ellinas in the fight for the other podium places. The Cypriot held fifth early on behind race one winner Arthur Pic but benefited when the Frenchman ran wide as he attempted to pass Yudai Jinkawa for third, before successfully pulling off his own move on the Japanese driver.

Pic finished just behind Jinkawa in fifth, with Shinya Michimi sixth and Renan Guerra seventh. Harry Tincknell?came through to eighth, having started at the back after being taken out at the start of the first race. Walkinshaw and Bar Baruch completed the top ten.
