Job van Uitert will?focus on the Italian Formula 4 series this year after coming fourth in 2016, remaining with?Jenzer Motorsport to lead a three-car effort.

The 18-year-old Dutch driver will spend a third season at F4 level, having contested the ADAC series in 2015 with Provily Racing before joining Jenzer for a double assault in both Germany and Italy last season.

While he came only 20th in the standings in ADAC F4, he was fourth in the Italian championship despite missing a round, claiming a double victory at the penultimate event at Imola.

This year he will concentrate on Italian F4 – where Jenzer driver Marcos Siebert beat Prema’s Mick Schumacher to the 2016 title – ?alongside university studies.

Sixteen-year-old Monza native?Federico Malvestiti will join van Uitert at Jenzer, having scored a best finish of seventh last year with Antonelli Motorsport.

The team has also recruited Argentine karting graduate Giorgio Carrara, who came fifth in the 2015 WSK Final Cup in KFJ, turned 16 on Thursday and becomes the latest driver from his country to race for Jenzer.

The Jenzer trio took part in F4 tests held at Misano on Thursday and Friday, with van Uitert the quickest?of them in eighth.

BhaiTech signing Sebastian Fernandez was fastest, with team-mates Lorenzo Colombo and Leonardo Lorandi fourth and fifth respectively behind Cram’s Leonard Hoogenboom and DR Formula tester?Aldo Festante, who raced for Mucke Motorsport last year.
