Euroformula Open sophomore driver Konstantin Tereshchenko collected his first pole position in the series at Jerez.

The Campos man was the only one to dip below 1:36, doing so with four minutes remaining in the session.

Second-placed Yu Kanamaru was more than three tenths slower than the Russian.

Yesterday’s polesitter Yarin Stern was third fastest this time around, followed by RP Motorsport trio Dzhon Simonyan, Damiano Fioravanti and Andres Saravia.

Mexican Diego Menchaca was the top rookie of the session in seventh, narrowly edging out Igor Walilko and Saturday’s race winner Alessio Rovera.

West-Tec’s Tanart Sathienthirakul completed the top ten.
