Dan Cammish broke the British Formula Ford record for consecutive wins as he won rounds 13 and 14 of the season at Croft, benefiting in the first race when Harrison Scott stalled from pole position.

Scott had brought Cammish’s qualifying run to an end but the rookie’s hopes of converting his maiden pole into a first win were left along with his car on the start line on the green flag lap. He re-took his position at the front of the grid, but was handed a drive-through penalty for doing so.

Cammish took the lead away from Scott with a better start, but lost the place with a mistake on lap two, before Scott then took his penalty. With him out the way, Cammish took a seven second win.

Nico Maranzana lost out to Andy Richardson at the start, and it took until lap eight for the Argentinian to retake the position. Jamun Racing team-mate and compatriot Juan Rosso followed him through soon afterwards to complete the podium. Richardson tried to come back at Rosso at the final corner but lost places to Lassi Halminen, Camren Kaminsky and Sam Brabham.

Scott crossed the finish line in eighth, in front of debutant Sam MacLeod and James Abbott.

In race two, Cammish was pursued by Scott on his way to beating the consecutive wins record held by Scott Malvern from 2011. Maranzana spent the race close behind Scott in third place.

Rosso held fourth until lap 11 of 15 when he was attacked by team-mate Jayde Kruger, who had charged all the way from 13th and last on the grid. Halminen also came past for fifth. Brabham beat Abbott to seventh, with Kaminsky and another debutant Rob Shield completing the finishers.
