Having made his car racing debut in the inaugural season of FR1.6 Nordic last year, Kevin Aabol will stay in the series for a sophomore season in 2014.

In 2014, the Norwegian will race in the championship under the colours of the family-run team Aabol Racing.

After amassing a solid karting CV in his native Norway, Aabol made the switch to single-seaters in 2013. The 20-year-old racer made the podium at Ostersund and Karlskoga in his debut year to wind up sixth overall in the FR1.6 Nordic standings.

Aabol will join the likes Lukas Sundahl and Pontus Fredricsson, who have both been revealed to compete in the championship by the series organizers. The list of confirmed names doesn’t end on them, as Magic Racing have previously announced their entry with Otto Tjader as their driver, while Scuderia Nordica will set up dual campaigns in 1.6 NEC and 1.6 Nordic for Ralf Aron and Oliver Soderstrom.
